Sail Away in Half Moon Bay

This 12-hour course gives a novice a solid foundation in the basics of sailing.

 NO PRIOR SAILING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!

 3-hour of classroom training and  9 hours of training on the water in our keel boats

  • Sailing theory
  • Tacks & points of sail
  • Rigging and unrigging the boat
  • Coming about & jibing
  • Use of outboard motors
  • Basic knots
  • Skipper and crew responsibilities
